Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

To ensure a smooth experience for every client, please read the following booking policies before making an appointment.
By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Appointments
Appointments may be booked through our website, Square Appointments, email, Instagram, Facebook or other approved booking methods.
Appointments are confirmed only after you receive a booking confirmation.
Some appointments require a non-refundable booking deposit to secure your selected date and time.
Online booking is for appointments at the studio in Middle Park. Mobile appointments, where I travel to you, are arranged by enquiry rather than through the online calendar, because the start time depends on travel and on the bookings either side of yours.
A mobile appointment cannot be secured through the online calendar. An online booking is not treated as a mobile appointment, even if an address is added in the notes, and no travel is arranged on the strength of it.
If you have booked online and need me to come to you, please contact me to arrange it. Any deposit already paid is carried across to the rearranged booking.
Prices shown for online booking are studio prices. Mobile appointments are quoted separately, with travel calculated by distance and confirmed in writing before the booking is accepted.
Deposits
A deposit may be required at the time of booking.
Deposits are applied towards the total cost of your appointment unless otherwise stated.
A booking is not secured until the required deposit has been successfully received.
Failure to pay the required deposit may result in the appointment being released.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.
Cancellation requests should be submitted through your booking confirmation, by email or by contacting us directly.
Deposits are generally non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law or where otherwise agreed at our discretion.
Rescheduling
If you need to change your appointment, please contact us as early as possible.
Where availability permits, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred new appointment time.
Repeated rescheduling requests may require a new deposit.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
Late arrival may reduce the available service time to avoid delaying other clients.
Where a late arrival makes it impractical to complete the booked service, the appointment may need to be shortened, rescheduled or cancelled. In these circumstances, your deposit may be forfeited.
No Shows
Clients who fail to attend a confirmed appointment without notice may forfeit any deposit paid.
Repeated no-shows may result in future bookings requiring full prepayment or being declined.
Mobile Appointments
Mobile services are available throughout Melbourne and selected surrounding areas.
Travel fees may apply depending on your location.
Clients are responsible for ensuring:
- safe access to the property
- adequate lighting
- sufficient working space
- suitable seating where required
- a clean and safe environment
If access is not possible or the working environment is considered unsafe, the appointment may be cancelled or discontinued.
Travel Fees
Travel charges are calculated based on the appointment location.
Any applicable travel fee will be confirmed before your appointment.
Additional travel charges may apply if the booking location changes after confirmation.
Service Changes
Requests to change or add services are subject to availability and appointment timing.
Additional services requested during the appointment may incur additional charges.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates may be redeemed for eligible services offered by Rina Taran Makeup.
Gift certificates:
- cannot normally be exchanged for cash unless required by law
- may not be replaced if lost or stolen
- may be subject to an expiry date where permitted by law or otherwise remain valid in accordance with applicable legislation
Pricing
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Prices may change without notice.
The price confirmed at the time of booking will apply to your appointment unless additional services are requested.
Refunds
We take pride in providing professional beauty services.
Due to the nature of personalised beauty services, refunds are generally not provided for completed services simply because of a change of mind.
Where required under Australian Consumer Law, clients remain entitled to applicable consumer guarantees.
If you believe there is an issue with the service provided, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so we can assess the situation and work towards an appropriate resolution.
Allergies and Medical Information
Clients are responsible for informing us before their appointment of any:
- allergies
- skin sensitivities
- medical conditions
- recent cosmetic procedures
- infections
- injuries
- other relevant health information
Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the suitability of the service.
Right to Refuse Service
Rina Taran Makeup reserves the right to refuse, postpone or discontinue any service where reasonably necessary, including where:
- health or safety concerns exist
- abusive or inappropriate behaviour occurs
- the requested service is considered unsuitable
- circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent safe delivery of the appointment
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where consumer guarantees apply, those rights remain unaffected.
